- Desert Cleanup 17.2.26 -
This week, we organized a clean-up event that involved 200 12th grade students from Ironi Dalet School in Modi'in. They participated as part of a school trip to the Eilat Mountains. To our knowledge, this was the largest cleanup operation ever conducted in Eilat, both terms of the number of participants and the results achieved. The clean-up lasted about an hour and a half, during which we collected 76 full bags weighing a total of 360 kg! Despite the significant amount collected, there is still an opportunity to enter and clean this area, along with three other schools. A heartfelt thank you to the participating school, the Eilat Municipality, 4TheGulf volunteers, and Doron Berti for the photography.
השבוע קיימנו מבצע נקיון שבו השתתפו 200 תלמידי שכבה י''ב מביה"ס עירוני ד׳ ממודיעין. הם הגיעו למבצע במסגרת טיול של בית הספר בהרי אילת. ככול הידוע לנו זה היה המבצע הגדול ביותר שנערך אי פעם באילת, גם מבחינת מספר המשתתפים וגם מבחינת התוצאות. מבצע הניקיון נמשך כשעה וחצי, בפרק הזמן הזה נאספו 76 שקים גדושים, במשקל כולל של 360 ק''ג(!!!)
למרות הכמויות האדירות שנאספו, גם ברגע זה אפשר להיכנס ולנקות את תא השטח הזה, עם עוד שלושה בתי ספר. תודה גדולה לבית הספר המשתתף, לעיריית אילת, למתנדבים של העמותה ולדורון ברטי על הצילום.

In a celebratory cleanup dive, the organization's divers and volunteer divers completed the cleanup dive program for 2025. This year, we held six cleanup operations, in which about 150 volunteer divers took part. A total of about 2,500 pieces of trash, from a bottle cap to a truck tire, were collected from the seabed. Total weight of about 250 kg.
בצלילת ניקיון חגיגית, סיימו צוללי העמותה וצוללים מתנדבים, את תוכנית צלילות הניקיון לשנת 2025. בשנה זו קיימנו שישה מבצעי ניקיון, בהם לקחו חלק כ - 150 צוללים מתנדבים. מקרקעית הים נאספו בסך כולל כ - 2500 פרטי אשפה מפקק של בקבוב ועד צמיג משאית. משקל כולל של כ - 250 ק''ג.
- Cleaning Dive 10.11.24 -
Sponsored by the Eilat Municipality and the 4The Gulf association from Eilat, this morning about 20 volunteer divers came to clean the sea, near the luxury hotel “Royal Beach” in Eilat. The amount of trash that was taken out of the sea, also amazed the veteran divers. Our gratitude to the volunteers, the beach lifeguards, the Eilat Municipality inspectors, and Diving Center Marina Divers.
בחסות עיריית אילת ועמותת 4The Gulf מאילת, הגיעו הבוקר כ-20 צוללים מתנדבים לנקות את הים, סמוך למלון היוקרה "רויאל ביץ'" באילת. כמות האשפה שהוצאה מהים הדהימה גם את הצוללים הוותיקים. תודתנו למתנדבים, למצילי החוף, לפקחי עיריית אילת ולצוללני מרכז הצלילה במרינה.

This morning, a cleaning dive with many participants took place in the Gulf of Eilat. About 30 divers participated in the operation. They include a large group from Kibbutz Yotvata, "Mishmar Hayam" researchers and students from the university, Sigala - Blue Ocean marine and divers from the 4the gulf association. The operation was accompanied by an underwater photography robot from the Beacon company, from Eilat. Our thanks to the divers, the volunteers of the association, the lifeguards of the Eilat municipality, the beach workers and the Marina Divers Club. At the end of the operation, the divers reported a significant improvement in the seabed, but... there is more to extract.
צלילת ניקיון רבת משתתפים התקיימה הבוקר במפרץ אילת. במבצע השתתפו כ 30 צוללים. בניהם קבוצה גדולה מקיבוץ יטבתה, "משמר הים" חוקרים וסטודנטים מהאוניברסיטה, סיגלה - Blue Ocean הימית וצוללי עמותת 4the gulf. את המבצע ליווה רובוט צילום תת-ימי של חברת Beacon, מאילת. תודתנו לצוללים, למתנדבי העמותה, למצילי עיריית אילת ועובדי החוף ולמועדון מרינה דיוורס. בסיום המבצע דיווחו הצוללים על שיפור ניכר באשפת-הים, אבל... יש עוד מה להוציא.
- Cleaning Dive 27.1.24 -
As part of the Tu BeShvat celebrations in Eilat, the 4THE GULF association held a festive event for the benefit of the coral reefs.
The association's divers, along with volunteer divers, scanned the seabed and collected part of the "Treasures of the Red Sea".
While diving, we removed an amount of trash that even caught the eyes of surprised passers-by.
We express our thanks to the volunteers, Neut Smadar divers, the beach lifeguards, the Marina Divers Club and Edmond for the refreshments.
We would love for more divers to join our future activities.
במסגרת אירועי חג האילנות באילת, עמותת 4THE GULF, קיימה אירוע חגיגי לטובת שוניות האלמוגים.
צוללי העמותה, בתגבור של צוללים מתנדבים, סרקו את קרקעית הים ואספו מהקרקעית, חלק מ ''אוצרות הים האדום''.
בצלילה הוצאנו כמות של אשפה שהפתיעה גם עוברי אורח שעברו ונדהמו.
תודה רבה למתנדבים, לצוללי נאות סמדר, למצילי החוף, למועדון מרינה דיוורס ולאדמונד על הכיבוד.
נשמח להצטרפות צוללים למבצעים הבאים.

Yes! The war is not over!
Not this one... This is our "war" for the wellbeing of the Gulf. This time 4THEGULF divers from Eilat, with the help of volunteer divers, fought bravely against the Israeli trash culture.
A "stain" of underwater trash was discovered near the sailing club in Eilat. Fearing that this garbage, through the currents, would find its place in the middle of the sea, we responded to the request of the Nature and Parks Authority, and quickly organized a group of divers.
At the end of the dive, the divers reported huge amounts of trash that should be removed
as quickly as possible.
We want to thank all the volunteers and divers, who responded swiftly and came on such a short notice. You are the real heroes of the day.
Our next dive will be on Saturday - January 27, 2024.
We will be celebrating Tu Be'Shvat- The Jewish Holiday of Nature!
