Our Story

4 The Gulf was founded in 2021 by residents of Eilat and the Arava region who share a deep commitment to protecting the unique marine and coastal environment of the Gulf of Aqaba. As development and tourist activity along the shoreline continue to grow, we recognize the importance of taking action to preserve this extraordinary ecosystem for future generations.

Our organization is built entirely on volunteer efforts. We contribute our time, skills, and passion to create a cleaner, healthier environment while promoting cooperation, understanding, and shared responsibility across the region.

A key milestone in our journey was establishing a strong partnership with the Aqaba Diving Clubs Association in Jordan. This relationship demonstrated the power of environmental cooperation across borders and became one of the foundations upon which 4 The Gulf was established.

Our Mission

Building Regional Cooperation

We work to strengthen environmental and social connections between the four countries that share the Gulf of Aqaba: Israel, Jordan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. Through collaboration, we aim to protect the Red Sea and foster a sense of shared stewardship for its future.

Supporting Local Communities

We serve the communities of Eilat and the Arava by promoting environmental awareness and encouraging public involvement in issues that affect the environment and quality of life.

Educating Future Generations

We develop and support environmental education initiatives that inspire young people to become active participants in marine conservation and environmental protection.

Creating Positive Environmental Impact

Through cleanup dives, community projects, educational programs, and regional partnerships, we take practical action to protect the Gulf of Aqaba and its unique ecosystems.

A Volunteer-Led Organization

4 The Gulf is powered entirely by volunteers. We have no salaried employees, and all organizational activities are carried out by members who generously contribute their time and expertise.

Independent and Community-Supported

We are not funded by any government, corporation, or external entity. Our activities are made possible through donations, fundraising efforts, memberships, and the support of people who share our vision for a cleaner and healthier Red Sea.
